Cambodian Delegation Visits Manulife Global Headquarters in Toronto to Strengthen Collaboration and Celebrate Shared Commitment to Community Impact

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – November 12, 2025 – On October 29, 2025, Manulife Financial Corporation was honored to welcome a distinguished Cambodian delegation to its global headquarters in Toronto, reaffirming its commitment to Cambodia and exploring opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas that support long-term economic and social development.
Led by H.E. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the delegation included senior government officials and prominent business leaders. During the visit, a series of high-level meetings were held, which also included an investment roundtable that Manulife jointly hosted with the Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC). Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for collaboration in investment, insurance, and community development.

During the visit, Manulife reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Cambodia’s development goals, with a particular focus on expanding access to financial protection, promoting health and wellness, and fostering environmental sustainability.
Highlights of Manulife’s community efforts in Cambodia include:
- Continued sponsorship of the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon, promoting health and wellness across the country.
- Financial literacy programs in collaboration with academic institutions, empowering youth and communities with essential financial knowledge.
- Environmental initiatives such as the Angkor Manulife Community Park, where over 10,000 trees have been planted, with plans to expand the project in the coming years.
This visit marks an important milestone in Manulife’s journey in Cambodia, reinforcing its role as a committed partner in the country’s progress and prosperity.
